Call for Papers: Measurement in Islamic Studies and Culture (MISC Journal)

MISC is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal committed to advancing the integration of quantitative methods in the domains of Islamic studies and social theory. We provide an academic platform for empirical explorations of Islamic values, behaviors, and social change using robust data and statistical analysis.

Possible Topics Include:

  • The intersection of Islamic teachings with contemporary social behavior
  • Quantitative analysis of cultural dynamics in Muslim communities
  • Attitudinal studies related to Islamic beliefs and practices
  • Impact of Islam on political, economic, and educational systems
  • Religious identity and behavior dynamics in Islamic societies
  • Social transformations within Islamic contexts
  • Integrating social theories with Islamic studies

We especially encourage manuscripts that use surveys, experiments, and statistical models to analyze emerging trends and behavioral patterns within Islamic contexts.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Manuscripts should be original and not under review elsewhere.
  • Articles should be formatted according to the APA reference style.
  • Manuscripts should range from 4,000 to 8,000 words.
  • The first draft submission deadline is the last week of each month.
  • Authors will be invited to participate in a workshop to discuss their submissions.
