Author Guidelines of MISC Journal

Thank you for considering Measurement in Islamic Studies and Culture (MISC) for your research submission. Please review the following guidelines to ensure your manuscript is properly formatted for submission.

General Submission Guidelines:

• Word Count: Manuscripts should be between 4,000 and 5,000 words, excluding references, tables, and figures.
• Language: All articles must be written in academic English. The writing should be clear, formal, and free of colloquial language. Texts should avoid plagiarism, and all sources should be properly credited with appropriate in-text citations and references in the bibliography.
• Formatting: Submit your manuscript in Microsoft Word format (DOC/DOCX). If your article contains Arabic text, please ensure the text is formatted so that no characters are broken. In such cases, also submit a PDF version to allow for verification if necessary.
• Authors: All authors should be clearly mentioned during the article submission process. Ensure that all co-authors, if applicable, are listed with their appropriate affiliations and contributions.

Article Structure:

Please structure your article in the following order:

1. Introduction: Present the research question, objectives, and an overview of the study's significance.
2. Literature Review: Review relevant literature and theories, critically analyzing existing studies and highlighting gaps.
3. Methodology: Clearly describe the empirical methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, and any instruments used for data gathering. You must provide your dataset for transparency and reproducibility.
4. Data Analysis (Results): Present the results of your analysis, including tables, figures, and statistical tests where appropriate. Be sure to interpret the results clearly.
5. Discussion: Discuss the implications of your findings in the context of existing research, explaining their significance.
6. Conclusion: Summarize the key findings of the study and suggest potential future research directions.

Research and Methodology:

• The article must employ empirical methodology, including data collection and statistical analysis.
• A dataset must be provided to ensure transparency and allow for reproducibility of results.
• Articles should follow APA 7th edition style for citations and references. Ensure in-text citations and the bibliography are correctly formatted according to the latest APA guidelines.

Peer Review Process:

• The journal follows a double-blind peer review process, meaning that both the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept anonymous throughout the review process. Ensure that your manuscript does not include any identifying information, such as author names or affiliations, to maintain anonymity.

Submission Process:

1. Submit Your Manuscript: Upload your manuscript in Microsoft Word format through our online submission portal.
2. Additional File Submission: If Arabic text is used in your article, submit a PDF version to ensure text integrity is maintained during formatting.
3. Data and Code: If applicable, upload your dataset and any code used for analysis in the relevant format.

Ethical Guidelines:

• No Plagiarism: Ensure that your manuscript is free from plagiarism. All sources must be appropriately credited, and the in-text citation and bibliography should follow APA 7th edition.
• Avoid Copyrighted Texts: Do not use text from copyrighted sources without proper attribution.
• Ethical Research: All research involving human participants or sensitive data must adhere to ethical research guidelines. Proper consent and approval should be obtained before data collection.
